Wearing of the ODU at a Flotilla Meeting
Posted2025-09-16
Updated2025-09-16
BySusan Davies
Q: Our flotilla meets at a public dining facility. We have a meal there. Would the Tropical Blue Uniform be appropriate in that case (as opposed to the ODU for meetings that are not in a public place)?
A: The uniform regulations describe Tropical Blue as the appropriate uniform for all situations where a coat and tie are not appropriate. ODUs may be worn to a meal in transit while doing business. In your scenario, you are conducting business at the meal (as opposed to “in-transit”). Hence the Office of Auxiliary believes Tropical Blue would be the appropriate uniform.
