Q:  We have misplaced our certificates and would like to know if USCG Aux can provide certification of the successful completion of those classes now. We both took your basic course and the follow-on course that included piloting and basic navigation.

A:  Unfortunately, there is no central or national database of those who have taken (or passed) a USCG Auxiliary safe boating course unless you were a member of the USCG Auxiliary at the time.

As such, we can offer only two suggestions:

1.  Try to contact the sponsoring Flotilla and see if they have records
2.  Take the course again, it's a great way to refresh your boating education and to learn some new things about boating, correct some bad habits and meet other boaters in your area.
