Q: Once orders have been requested in AOM using a designated Coxswain for an owner-present OPFAC, can the designated Coxswain be changed for those orders later. Example - orders for Bob's OPFAC (who is crew trainee) were requested with CX-A as designated CX. Prior to patrol, CX-A becomes ill and CX-B needs to replace CX-A. Can CX-B be input to orders as lead, replacing CX-A? If the substitution is "last minute", can CX-B conduct the patrol using the orders issued to CX-A, and make the change in AOM later? A: Short Answer is no, once the orders have been approved, neither the Coxswain nor the facility may be changed. New orders must be requested and approved before the patrol.
