REMOVAL OF ANSC 7047 (CG-5093) FORM FROM NATIONAL FORMS WEBPAGE As some of you may have noticed, the ANSC 7047 (CG-5093) form has been removed from the Auxiliary National Forms Website. This was done intentionally with permission of the CHIDIRAUX office. The form is from this point forward considered obsolete, and should no longer be used. The ANSC 7047 (CG-5093) form was previously used by Auxiliary Program Visitors to sign up, record any changes, or delete “Partner” locations. However, its primary use was to provide Coast Guard Headquarters (CGHQ) with a PV Master Partner mailing list to distribute the old “Boating Safety Circulars” and manufacturer recall information to these Partner locations. Some time ago the Coast Guard ceased the use of the “Boating Safety Circulars”, and discontinued use of the recall hotline number. This stopped maintenance of the PV Master Partner database. The completion of these forms and the information that was collected on them is no longer being entered into any system. Because of this fact, the PV Master Partner database became highly outdated and contained information on partner locations which had, in some instances, been closed for years. Understanding that the PV Master Partner database is an important tool for the Program Visitor, the V Directorate is currently working along with other National Directorate’s to create a “NEW” database that will be maintained solely by the Auxiliary. This database will hopefully be able to be updated by PV’s from within our webpage. The new database will contain current and accurate PV Partner information, when it becomes a reality. We appreciate you understanding and cooperation during this transition period. Source: The National V Directorate, 12 APR 13 | |
